Training with Shihan Duncan Stewart at the Kashiwa Shin Gi Tai Ichi Bujinkan Dojo was one of the many highlights of my recent trip to Japan. Duncan’s primary teacher is Nagato Sensei, who had advised Duncan about 2 years ago to start teaching. Well, finally Duncan Stewart has followed his teacher’s instructions and started teaching at a community center in Kashiwa City, Chiba, Japan. Many Bujinkan practioners have become very familiar with Kashiwa recently because it is strategically located between Noda City and Tokyo Ayase, about 20-30 min by train in either direction. The Shin Gi Tai Ichi Dojo is located less then a 5 minutes walk from the Kashiwa Plaza Hotel or the Kashiwa Train station. It is great to get a perspective of a foreigner who is living in Japan and training properly in the Bujinkan with Soke Masaaki Hatsumi and Shihan Nagato.
I sincerely advise people travelling to Japan to make time and seek out training with Duncan Stewart Shihan in Kashiwa City, Chiba Japan.
He has classes conveniently scheduled Sundays 6-8 PM, which will not conflict with the teaching schedules of Soke or one of the Shi-Tennou.
